Jul 2014

Walk in to our office at 9am in the morning and we are already at work, playing good music and catching up on gossip and work of course! (I did not miss that!) Surprisingly, even if you visit us late in the evening, there we are! Experimenting on some cool graphic designing tools, discussing our next content strategy with our Singapore colleagues or watching the next episode of Game of Thrones (These interns I tell you!) 😛

So why have we been hanging out at work all the time and not complaining? Yeah, we do have super cool work station, a table tennis room and uber cool posters of Breaking Bad, Fight Club, Pink Floyd etc; but that’s not all!

Thanks to our bosses, Rachit and Prantik, Happy Marketer, India has gone Ergonomic! If you don’t know the meaning of ‘Ergonomic’, don’t Google it because what you get it ‘Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system’. If you got it, you should be reading some nerdy articles, what are you doing here? Ok jokes apart, here is what we have!

Full HD Monitor – Dell ST2220L: I thought only stock market people get dual monitors but hello, we are digital marketers, and we got to have them! You should watch us taking multi-tasking to another level. It has a 21.5 inch full HD monitor with LED which gives an awesome viewing experience. Did I mention it is slim and stylish? 😀

Keyboard – Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000: We love ergonomic keyboards, they help hands become well rested in the long run. We have trusted Microsoft ergonomic keyboards for 2+ years now. This baby is top of the line, and extremely popular with programmers and hardcore ergonomic enthusiasts. This means, our wrists will still be in top shape after next few years. Not just that, it looks pretty good too! Notice the wavy design for your wrists, the V shaped layout for your fingers and the rest area for your thumbs. Cool eh? 😉

Mouse – Logitech G400S:

Our bosses have sworn by this mouse for 8 straight years. You’ll get so used to this one; you would want to carry it everywhere. Those 8 buttons are perfect for the most common tasks.

  1. Left Click = Left Click
  2. Right Click = Right Click
  3. Scroll Click = Double Click
  4. + Button = Copy (Control + C)
  5. – Buttom = Paste (Control V)
  6. Window Button = Screenshot
  7. Back Button = Back
  8. Forward Button = Forward

USB Headset – Microsoft Lifechat 6000: One of the most common problems we had here is that the background in the Bangalore office is very loud – other people, cows (yes cows!), cars etc all give a very unprofessional experience. This noise cancelling headset can make us all sound like authoritative booming voices. (#LikeABoss!)

Laptop Cooling Stand – Belkin Coolspot Anywhere Ultra: We expected this one to be noisy like other cooling stands but it is surprisingly quieter! It has great cooling effect and holds laptop in place. Psst: We can even hide our wires, USB Hub behind it!

USB Hub: This light weight device expands a single USB port into several so that there are more ports available to connect the keyboard, mouse, USB headset, phone charging cable, cooling stand etc. This means, you don’t have to connect hundreds of wires to your laptop anymore 🙂

And hey, it’s not just about work lah! We can have after-hours movies and gaming. Want to join the party? We are looking for Interns and Visual Communicators, so if you think you are the one, email us your portfolio right away!
